More and more companies are offering work at home options for their employees, but many do not have a proper ergonomic design at home. A poor set up can quickly create pain symptoms which can lead to a cumulative trauma injury that can take months to resolve. This can result in lost work time and productivity. An ergonomic assessment provides education on proper set up in the home or office environment, stretches to prevent pain from developing, and equipment suggestions to increase work efficiency.
Julie Sonack MS, OT/L, CEASIII has been an Occupational Therapist for 40 years. For 20 years she specialized in Hand Therapy with a focus on Office Ergonomics Assessments and treatment of Upper Extremity Cumulative Trauma Injuries at the University of Vermont Medical Center. The years of expertise she developed performing these assessments as well as treating issues related to poor design, makes her an excellent choice to help with your issues!
